Before KREATIVE Klouds became the vision it is today, owner and creative director Brennan Poindexter was already making his mark on the El Paso fashion scene.

Poindexter’s journey as an entrepreneur includes launching and operating multiple retail locations throughout El Paso, Texas. One of his most significant accomplishments was establishing a major storefront inside Cielo Vista Mall, where his former retail concept, Bawse Ave, introduced shoppers to a carefully selected mix of streetwear, independent labels and emerging fashion brands.

Opening inside one of El Paso’s most prominent shopping destinations represented more than business growth. It proved that an independently built streetwear concept could stand alongside nationally recognized retailers while maintaining its own identity.

A Store Built on Confidence

Founder with two other business owners, Bawse Ave was created around a message of confidence, perseverance and ambition. To Brennan, being a “Bawse” was never simply about status. It described someone who exceeded expectations, remained relentless in pursuit of their goals and found the strength to overcome difficult circumstances.

That philosophy shaped the atmosphere of the store. Bawse Ave was designed as a destination where customers could discover distinctive clothing, connect with emerging brands and express themselves through fashion.

Its Cielo Vista Mall location featured a polished contemporary interior, prominent visual displays and a product selection rooted in modern streetwear culture. The store provided valuable retail exposure for brands and designers that were often overlooked by traditional department stores.

The experience also allowed Brennan to develop a deeper understanding of merchandising, customer behavior, brand presentation and the importance of creating a memorable in-store experience.
